I used to work for the MIA. It's a great project, but sadly it dominated by Trotskyists! Oh well. Nice blog. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks a lot Carl. But why "sadly dominated by Trotskyists"? I am very sympathetic. Some may call me a Trot. But please no Schactmanites!

State and revolution is most certainly a must, but i think many a marxist could use some more studying of a revolutionary course of action. Marxist academia are not on the whole out agitating, organizing workers, and trying to lead them to taking power. Some good books on the subject are Trotsky's Transitional program for socialist revolution and another book with trotsky, marx, and Farrel Dobbs, titled "trade unions in the epoch of imperialist decay." Check out pathfinderpress.com if youre interested in marxism as someone who is interested in creating a revolution, etc...
Also, there will be a conference on January 21st in New York city on “The World Crisis of Imperialism and Contradictory Development of the Labor Vanguard: Marxism, or Why Join the Communist Movement."
Anyone looking to go from the detroit area can give me a call or email at av9399@wayne.edu or 248-860-9341. Of course i realize it sounds discouragingly far, but all we will be doing is driving to Toledo where we will meet up with a caravan.
